Privacy notice

How Manager Playbooks uses your information.

This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, who receives it and the choices available to you when you use Manager Playbooks.

Effective: 11 July 2026 Last reviewed: 21 July 2026

1. Who we are

Manager Playbooks is operated by Paul Maddox, a UK-based sole trader. For UK data-protection law, Paul Maddox is the controller of the personal data described in this notice.

You can contact us about privacy or your data at paulmdx@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways.

Information you provide

  • Early-access form details: your email address, chosen playbook, manager role, intended buyer type, price preference and contact-consent choice.
  • Marketing signup details: your email address and marketing-consent choice if you sign up for discounts, new playbook notifications, related management resources or offers.
  • Optional context: any challenge or feedback you choose to write in the free-text field.
  • Payment details: if you choose to buy a playbook, Stripe collects and processes the payment, billing and transaction details needed to complete checkout. Manager Playbooks does not receive your full card details.

Information collected when you use the site

  • Essential preference data: your cookie-preference choice, used to remember whether analytics and advertising measurement are enabled.
  • Campaign context: referral source and campaign parameters in the page URL, such as UTM parameters, where present.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement data, only after you accept it: pages viewed; playbooks explored; button, menu, filter and price interactions; scroll depth; time-on-page markers; approximate device, browser and location information; campaign-attribution information; and Microsoft Clarity interaction data such as clicks, scrolling and session playback. We do not intentionally send email addresses, form answers or other free-text content to Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity.

Please do not include sensitive personal information, confidential employer information or information about another person in the optional free-text field.

4. Cookies, local storage and analytics

We use a small amount of essential browser storage to remember your cookie preference. We only load Google Analytics and advertising measurement tags after you choose “Accept analytics & advertising”.

When enabled, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity help us understand how people use the site and whether advertising is working. Google Analytics records non-sensitive interaction events such as selecting a playbook or opening a form. Microsoft Clarity helps us understand page behaviour such as clicks, scrolling and session playback. Our measurement configuration is designed not to send form entries, email addresses or optional free-text responses.

If you choose to buy a playbook, the checkout opens on Stripe. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for payment processing, fraud prevention and checkout security on its own service.

See our Cookie notice for the technologies used, their purposes and how to change your choice.

5. Who receives your information

We use service providers to operate the site and handle early-access requests. Depending on the feature you use, these include:

  • Google, for Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement where enabled.
  • Microsoft, for Microsoft Clarity analytics where enabled.
  • Make (Make.com / Celonis), which receives early-access and marketing signup submissions through a secure webhook and routes them into our lead-management workflow.
  • Kit.com, which may receive marketing signups so we can send requested emails about discounts, new playbooks, related resources and offers.
  • Stripe, which provides hosted checkout and payment processing if you buy a playbook.
  • Website-hosting, email and record-storage providers used to operate Manager Playbooks and keep our early-access records.

These providers process information on our behalf under appropriate contractual terms. We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer is made, we use an adequacy regulation or an appropriate safeguard permitted by UK data-protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You may contact us for information about the safeguard relevant to your data.

7. How long we keep information

  • Early-access records: for up to 12 months after your most recent interaction, or sooner if you withdraw consent or ask us to delete them, unless we need to keep a limited record for a legal reason.
  • Marketing email records: until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent or ask us to delete them, unless we need to keep a limited suppression record to honour your request.
  • Purchase and transaction records: for as long as needed to provide the product, handle support and meet tax, accounting or legal obligations.
  • Cookie preference: for up to six months in your browser, unless you clear it sooner or change your choice.
  • Short-lived analytics session data: until you close the browser session, and only when you have accepted analytics and advertising measurement.
  • Google Analytics data: for the period configured in our Analytics property, intended not to exceed 14 months for user- and event-level data.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions and limits in data-protection law, you may have the right to request:

  • access to your personal data;
  • correction of inaccurate data;
  • erasure of your data;
  • restriction of processing;
  • data portability for data processed by consent or contract; and
  • an objection to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise a right, email paulmdx@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Details are available at ico.org.uk.

9. Your choices

Early-access and marketing emails

You may withdraw your consent to early-access or marketing emails at any time by emailing us or using any unsubscribe link included in those emails. We will stop sending those messages, although we may retain a minimal suppression record so that we can honour your request.

Analytics and advertising measurement

You can change your browser-storage choice at any time through the Cookie notice. You can also clear relevant cookies or local storage in your browser settings. If you accept analytics and advertising measurement, you may additionally use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data, including HTTPS transmission and access controls for the services we use. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Children

Manager Playbooks is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when the site, data flows or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above.
